7/25/2008 - I do my dance of joy
Posted in Unspecified

I'm both excited and bummed.  As of tomorrow, both of my kids will be leaving for a whole week.  The boy, who's almost 18, is going to spend a week with his aunt.  She needs some work done around her house and said if he'd come help, she'd pay him for it.  Personally, I think it's just an excuse to spend some time with the kid as this is his last year in school.  He's planning on joining the Navy after high school and he is this aunt's favorite kid.  If you ask her, she'll tell you that she doesn't play favorites, but she does.  But it's ok, because there is another aunt who favors my daughter, so it evens out.

As for my daughter, she's heading off to summer camp.  She'll be gone from home for a full week.  The bad part is that it's hard for me to watch my baby leave home, the good part is that camp is only about 20 miles away and I know exactly where she's at.  I'm pretty excited to have some peace and quiet for a week.  Knowing my husband, he'll go fishing the first chance he gets.  K, bye, have fun.  Catch a big one.  Whoo Hooooo, the whole house to myself.  I'll love it for awhile, but it won't take long for the overbearing quiet to set in.  I'll need loud noises, arguments, whining, people begging for money.  Oh what to do????  Daytime Television!!!!!!  Problem solved.

Keep an eye on this blog over the next week.  I promise that any weirdness that comes along will be passed on to all of you.  After all, I wouldn't dare keep all this to myself.  :)
