30/5/2006 - Roland Garros 2006 Rd1: Nadal v Soderling 6-2,7-6,6-1

just finished watching Rafael Nadal play and win his first round tie against the swede R.Soderling. At first i thought Nadal had a weak hit, but it was a crafty and masterful stroke in the end, brillinant job, difficult 2nd set, easy 3rd set and off he goes into the 2nd round, and he has the record now of 54 consecutive victories on clay, and is the favourite here in  Paris. Roland Garros has been great so far, with the best comeback attributed to Sharapova coming back in the 3rd set 5-2 down against Washington and winning 7-5!! Acacuso had a marathon 6-3,6-1,3-6,1-6,11-9 victory over Santoro, which was carried forward from Day 1 on sunday for the first time in a Grand Slam, spanning 15 days!! this time it was quite ok as the favourites generally going through and Hewitt playing tommorow.yeah and i watched a movie today it was fun, went 56 minutes late for chemistry lecture, bought absolte nonsense and making a mess at subway, and well jus got to get ready for tommorow or rather today i guess...its MOS!! haha..how it will fare i dont know, im pessimistic but u never know, world cup ahead, Watch Out!!!
