6/6/2006 - Roland Garros 2006 Rd4: Rafael Nadal v Lleyton Hewitt 6-2,5-7,6-4,6-4

woke up today delayed. Missed fencing, and missed soccer. then lolled about for about 50 minutes before leaving at 1300 to the Tampines MRT to meet Nicholas GN at pastamania, Tampines Mall. How convenient, so glad i didnt go soccer. It was exactly 42 minues to Tampines, just as i predicted to Nicholas. Bang on cue. what i didnt pedict though was the price of the carbonara which i itchy mouth go and order, 9.90 dollars. lol, and the fact was they just talked and chatted and didnt even study!! whoa. the least i expect Nicholas GN and Samuel to do.Met Jin Kai at Kallang MRT today, 3coincidence in a short space of time. Met Kartik and Jugdeep in Tampines Mall. yeah. then we walked around, nicholas left, i went to coffee bean with samuel, ordered the wrong vanilla again lol, then went home from tampines. Then played tennis again today, it was great fun. i played the best so far in my short stint, was feeling good yeah, and i harbour dreams of improving now, not just improving but making an impact. wow, praytell. we shall see. then came home and there was the tennis on from roland garros.

Hewitt was 2-6 down when i came and watch. To cut short, Federer said to play Nadal on clay you have to be aggressive. That was what happened, although i feel paul henri-mattieu posed a better challenge than hewitt, hewitt put on a good fight, and well, he could have at one stage upset nadal, who is getting increasingly unsteady, the commentators think its the burden of the now 57 consecutive wins on clay, and the expectations on him. I think so too, especially how hard it is to remain at the top, all the best to him in his quarter final v djorkovic, who beat monfils 7-6,7-6,6-3. The Frenchman is out, the one who beat Nadal in last year's US Open, so no revenge can be extracted for Nadal, who will potentially face Ivan Ljubicic and then Roger Federer if he goes through. S.Peer's run was also halted by Martina Hingis, as is with this stupid wireless connection that is frustrating me on and off today yet again, logging in and out of MSN, yeah so now look out for Nadal, Federer, Safina, Hingis and Justine Hardenne. Meanwhile i got to meet Maw at 0830 at CJC to study and then Jin Xian at kallang mrt, hopefully tommorow is a more fruitful day, thats all for now.
