7/6/2006 - Roland Garros 2006 QF: Nicole Vaidisova v Venus Williams 6-7,6-2,6-3

brilliant. i said this many times and she is absoutely brilliant. She played well today the 17 year old lanky lass and produced another shock of the tournament. Out goes Venus Williams, and Nicole Vaidisova [16] is into her first Grand Slam quarterfinal, setting up a meeting with Kuznetsova [8], who disposed of the in-form Dinara Safina. With the other semi final Justine Henin-Hardenne [5] and Kim Clijsters [2], there are no more easy games left to play. I personally hope it will be Justine and Nicole in the final, and then my heart will be divided. beating kuznetsova is hard but not impossible, and nicole needs to produce miracle no.3 to advance. Justine is slight favourite over clijsters, who knocked out Martina Hingis with brute force.Poor Hingis, playing with perfect positioning, precision and technique, but losing to the power of the modern game. What a waste, she has won every grand slam but roland garros. Pity. yeah, and shes apparently pretty too according to Von. 2 is enough for me with daniela and nicole haha, lets hope we get the nicole justine final, and i would slighly root for Nicole Vaidisova i think =) Vamos Nicole!!

On the men's front, Federer [1] will play Nalbandian, and the semi final favourites, Rafael Nadal[2] v Djorkovic, and Ivan Ljubicic v the last remaining frenchman, will make it or should i say could make it some time since the top four all progressed to the final, and it would be interesting stuff. Personally, i think its a Nadal v Federer final with Nadal winning. haha, this tournament so far i have rooted for Rafael Nadal, Nikolai Davyenko (partially), Daniela Hantuchova, Nicole Vaidisova, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Martina Hingis (partially), Patty Schyder (partially) and Dinara Safina (partially). It is highly likely both defending champions, rafael and justine, will defend their crown.

Now for the day account, end up never lend guitar today last minute she say dun want. ah well, so woke up and went to school, or rather stumbered to school at 0830 to meet maw chearng. turned up not only a waste coz he not only came at 0900, we were supposed to study but we ate at burger king, listened to music and drank at galilee and friends, and i left at 1302. waste time lol, haha so far this holiday do nothing sigh, must start getting serious haha. then met benjamin yee in simei at 1345, and ate japanese food, played pool with him and Joshua at East point, lost all the pool games bar one, beating joshua in one game. I hate joshua attitude anyway, kinda stuck up and well, he said my victory was hes loss and not my win, blah blah blah and said why did benjy say i was good blah blah blah. i didnt react coz i know he was like that, but i coudnt help feeling a tad annoyed. then went to melville park, ben yee house, MSN, tennis, played ok, was ok, but ben yee is better, yeah and my shoelace keep coming out so irritating, then i went to his house watched the tennis and MSN, chatted with natalie for a while before i had to go abruptly, she must have been taken aback lol. well, watched the vaidisova match, the hingis and the federer match, then took a bus stop to tampines, yes tampines community centre at 2200 and ate MacDonalds. yes i realize that ben yee house is in simei, but is 2 stops from TPJC, and is nearer to tampines community centre than the simei one. lol..so it was kinda nostalgic to be back in that Tampines area, and it was memories flowing back at me when i took the 12 home after that, 31 bus stops as 1 bus stop earlier than the 32 from TPJC, having taking from 2345-0020, its a record journey of what is normally 50 minutes in a time of 25 minutes!! half the time!! lol..anyways, i think i better go fencing tommorow at 0830 at paya lebar so to make it at least 2 outings out of 5 went. yeah pathetic i know but ah well. and time for serious studying, tommorow is Djorkovic v Nadal, and next week is the World Cup, lets see whether i can study before my 4th consecutive tennis evening tommorow, and my 11th consecutive roland garros viewing.lol.peace out.

P.S Schedule, tommorow Fencing, Study,Tennis...Thursday Group Study with amanda and marian? Friday jamming Maw, Cheng Yuan and Daniel? hmm..plenty to do, so little time, au revoir!!
