8/27/2007 - Carrying Out the IEP
You aren’t done after you have the IEP meeting. A good IEP plan requires a lot of parental oversight to insure that it is really helping form a dyslexia cure. Once you consent to their plan, you must make an effort to stay informed. The IEP should have a listed format to report your child’s progress to you. These reports should come in at least as often as they would for any student that doesn’t have an IEP. You can call a meeting at any point during the year to review or revise the IEP and discuss progress towards the annual goals. There should at least be a meeting each year to review any progress or lack of progress and to update the plan accordingly. Any new results from a dyslexia symptoms test should be included to help them properly anticipate new needs as well. This may be tiring, but it is necessary to help your child get the best aid for their dyslexia.

About Me
It was an afternoon of the brilliancy known only to an afternoon of the
American summer, and the water of the swift Piscataqua River glittered in
the sun with a really incomparable brilliancy. But nothing could light
up the great monster of a ship, painted the dismal lead-color which our
White Squadrons put on with the outbreak of the war, and she lay sullen
in the stream with a look of ponderous repose, to which the activities of
the coaling-barges at her side, and of the sailors washing her decks,
seemed quite unrelated.
