Getting back into the swing of practicing....but slowly. Too slowly. I didn't even do any Islander's (IK). I figured that since I got a new belt the day before, I could take a day off. But just one day because in Islanderworld, the next belt test could be right around the corner.

Now I remember that I should do my practice log early in the day or I may not get to it.

My husband Joe and I did a day from our 'mutual practice log', which consisted of  the side ride escape, my feeble attempts to remember both knee ride escapes, a very brief  rendition of 'stir the pot', a head control move.

We also worked on grappling; specifically the moves I had done in class the night before. The armbar from the guard felt pretty good. I was able to remember the defense to that move and show it to Joe. He liked it too. I also lifted my weights, but that's all!
