BY DAWN M. D. 2005 White hawthorn bushes grow in elegant pastoral splendour; Fast fading violets cover'd up with falling wisteria blooms; Amid all the forget-me-nots... Bluebells and daffodils, birds twitter, Springs beautiful child is born, Amid the gasping end of winters song, The coming of the rosehips, full of moist dewy wine, The buzzing of flies and the smell of summer on the gentle wind, How could such sweet, wholesome hours be......but just a memory. Of rolling hills, paddocks, Jersey cows, crops, herbs and flowers, Softly, softly caressing my heart... As gently as a... Butterfly caresses a flower, ever, ever so delicately.
