GOODBYE FRIDAY......SATURDAY HAS ARRIVED.

Hello, well here I am burning the midnight oil once again nothing new

about that though. It's raining very steadily and at times quiet heavy,

the rain started about 8:50 PM last night. So the Friday night tennis

was washed out and so we all sat down had supper washed down with

a little tipple or two and wonderful conversing. We dicussed the

problems of the world. The cricket was on the television and we

watched that as well, It was in the Telstra Dome with the roof closed

or they would have been washed out also. Australia won against the

World team.Cricket is an absolutely fascinating game, not unlike

chess in some ways. I love the test matches best, with it's many twists

and turns over five days, but the one day game is very popular with a

big percentage of the populace and drags in the big crowds. England

is coming good once again and gave the Auatralian cricket team a wake

up call in the ashes series just finished recently.India and Pakistan have

always had great players not to mention the West Indies, withall their

magic talent and now South Africa also is a force to be reckoned with

along with Sri Lanka, New Zealand and other up and coming countries

to the game. When I was a little girl my Dad played country club cricket

and every week I would go with him and sit with the score lady and

watch, then have afternoon tea with him. Such gentile days watching

cricket played in a cow paddock or on a small oval somewhere, sitting

under the biggest old gum trees you can imagine, such majestic,

gnarled old trees that could tell a story or two of life passing under their

shady canopy. On that note I bid you all goodmorning and hope you
