In among the tasselled worn out reeds, Ducks quack and feed, With heads bobbing up and down in the reedy mud,They fish and dabble all day, Webbed feet atop the water,Like a nodding cork, they linger there upside down, With heads dabbing in the mud, Among the tasselled reeds,Up they come to oft look around, and quack again, Then head over heel, Into the murky water they go again,Heads unseen, Floating there topsy-turby amongst the reeds,
