AMERICA...THE WORLDS RICHEST NATION...I have just watched a program on America's poor. I have got to wonder why the United States of America can send men to the moon and explore space, spend millions of dollars on war and in it's midst has towns with no running water in the 21st century in the year of 2006. People living under bridges and sleeping in their cars all because they have been unfortunate enough to take a wrong turn on the road of life or lost their job through no fault of their own. This condition affects people of both black and white. Some of the people interveiwed said that their faith in God keeps them sane and they get up and greet each new day for the sake of their children, whom they cannot stress the point of getting a good education strong enough. We here in Australia are not completely free of this problem either because some of our aboriginals live in shanty towns with no running water also. Governments always feather their own nests first and then beat their war drums and strut and preen, huff and puff with other leading world figures and say look at me... I'm doing great. Religious leaders should step up to the plate also and give more to the people who pray in their Churchs, Mosques, Synagogues and Temples and by give more I mean preach the love of God for all people even the ones that don't belong to their faith, because we are all in the human family and deserve nothing less from these leaders of these different faiths. Any that do not do this and are caught or heard preaching war or hatred towards any other faith should be excommunicated. For my mind God is God and there cannot possibly... be a different God hovering over each different faith. That is just fanatical and idiotic.Especially when three of them originated in the one place and have the same scriptures more or less. 22:04 - Wednesday, April 12, 2006 - post comment
