I agree with the general tone of the quote. Going to a church building will not make anyone a Christian. But if we assume that means that Christians do not need to assemble together for encouragement, training, and worship, we would be wrong. The New Testament scriptures show this pattern from the Apostles onward, and even commands believers not to "forsake the assembling" of themselves together. There are no successful "Lone Ranger" believers. In fact, church history has show that such isolation often leads to the development of dangerous cults.



What starts in the heart ought to show up in public worship. Thanks for this post and the previous one on prayer.
