Hey! Guess what! Two weeks ago, your Governor General paid a visit to the town I live in! Of course, as you know our two countries celebrate our discovery of the land down under 400 years ago, when Dorothy and her Ship the Duyfken were taken to Oz in a tornado, or something like that - I never paid much intention in school, eh?



A replica of that ship has visited my town two or three years ago. Has it already returned to Australia?



Have you noticed much activity concerning this milestone? Of course we graciously gave you Guus Hiddink to take your football team to Germany, we didn't destroy them in that World Cup warm-up game, the Flying Doctors are re-run on Dutch TV, and the GG has visited my town, but up here, that's all I have noticed. Oh yes, there was a 5 euro commemorative coin, of which I have two.
