OH! FOR DAYS LONG GONE..

Broken doors cracked and faded paint

Shattered shingles and worn out blinds

Sun bleached days, dark eerie nights

Rusting hinges and creaking boards

Spiders spinning, birds singing.

Broken windows and rusting tin

You must not think it's fun;

Locked in a time warp all alone

Your heart and soul turned to stone

Looking for a sign from afar.

Broken dreams mixed with laughter

Choking, screaming to come alive

Yesteryear, colliding with the now

Just remember; " It's gone, it's gone."

Carefree days of play out front

Rolling in the shade, turning somersaults.
