A CLEARING IN THE

                          BUSH....

Along a narrow bush track deep in the bush 
was a small farm carved out with bush on all sides

there was a ramshackle old shed leaning and half  

falling down. The house was a newish timber

dwelling very plain with no welcoming feel to it.

Out in the paddocks goats of all  shapes sizes and

ages abounded. In the gully below was a welcoming

stream, where tree ferns, maiden hairs and greenery

of all sorts grew in contented harmony. A beautiful

German  Shepherd dog, happily sat on the top of an

old rusted out tank, looking eagerly, hoping with ears

forward in anticipation and falorn hope for someone,

anyone to come and play so he could use some of his

pent up energy. But alas no one comes.

Slowly the night moved in and the eerie sounds of

crickets, bullfrogs and an owl all squeaked, croaked

and hooted in a lonely chorus, as the moon started

to glow and light up the night. Rabbits lept and 

froliced out among the goats where foxes lurked

hoping for an easy meal this night. All was very quiet

in the house, a puff of smoke wended it's way up the

chimney and the smell of goat stew wafted through

the night air.
