HE WINS A PRIZE THE FIRST IN ALL HIS LIFE."YOU ARE A VERY LUCKY MAN!"
written by Dawn M D. 2004. Roland Gateshead is eighty years old, thin and very frail. With a balding head, sharp features and a longish pointed nose. A very bad driver, especially now in his advancing years. The phone rings, he answers and a lady from the Local church tells him. "You are a lucky man Mr Gateshead;" " Why he asks'? "You she said; have won a car, a brand spanking new B.M.W. Isn't that wonderfully lucky?" "What he says; am I going to do with one of those? drive it up a post or better still reverse into the gate." His granddaughter Felicity a tall pretty girl with a lovely nature and long blonde hair, had sold him the ticket, she was so over joyed for her beloved Grandfather. She jumped for glee, hugged and kissed him and they whiled away the afternoon drinking tea, eating sweet biscuits and cake Felicity said; to her Grandfather; "Now Pops you will have to be very careful in this flash new car." Grandfather Roland; said . "Darling girl you will have to drive for me. And when my time comes to pass on out of this world, the car will be yours." "Oh Pops you are simply the best and I love you so much. Lets go on a little holiday to Ferny Creek. We could take Mum and Dad along, have a nice time and try to clear the air between you and Dad? Roland and his son could never see eye to eye and he couldn't understand or fathom how he came to have such a lazy, born on a holiday, waster of a son. So he thought a few days away in the company of this son should be intresting to say the least.
