A SPECIAL ENTRY FOR BAILEE

I ORIGINALLY WROTE THIS ENTRY IN SEPTEMBER 2005

AND I HAVE DECIDED TO BRING IT TO THE FRONT WITH

BAILEE'S BIRTHDAY ENTRY.

"BAILEE'S ANGEL"

"OUR BEAUTIFUL BAILEE"

On July the 1st. my beautiful granddaughter who is 6 years old

and has never been able to walk, had an operation at the Royal

Childrens Hospital. The nature and description of this procedure

is to long to detail here. Anyway she came to visit Papa and (me)

Nana about 6 weeks after the operation and by this time the

plaster had been cut down both sides of each leg and then taped

back on because the plaster was to tight and it was restricting

the flow of blood to her foot. She was talking to me and looking

at me with a very intense look on her face, with eyes sparkling

and said.

"Nana you should come to my place and watch me have a bath

and see how strait my legs are now, they are just like humans

legs, not like babies legs."

I said;

"Darling babies are human to,"

Then she said;

"Yes I know that Nana...but babies have different legs."

I said;

"Okay my gorgeous one, Nana will have to come and see those

beautiful strait legs when you take a bath."

Which I have and she gave me a demo of how she can stand up

at last and walk in her walking frame. A beautiful moment that

I will treasure and one of the first of many onward milestones

in Bailee's pursuit of the ability to walk.....FOOT NOTE.

Bailee can now get off the couch and stand all by herself, such

great and wonderfully joyous progress.

BAILEE OUR WONDERFUL JOY AND REMINDER... OF HOW GREAT THE LESSON,

THAT A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL CAN TEACH ONE.....HOW TO BE PATIENTAND

GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE ABILITIES, ONE JUST TAKES FOR GRANTED IN THIS LIFE,

SO NO MATTER HOW BIG THE PROBLEM..... THERE IS ALWAYS A GLIMMER OF HOPE
