Well gday there, I havent clocked in for so long.
Now lets see what have I been up to?
I had an almighty fall, head over heels backwards,
and hurt myself something awful.
Today is the first time I have been able to walk.
I really did a number on myself and scared---
My poor hubby nearly to death.
He was so worried and upset
And thinks if I keep falling around like that I will kill myself.
And before you ask"¦No I hadnt been drinking.
Perhaps if I had I wouldnt have hurt myself so badly.
Ah well! Have to die of something---
So my soldier son tells me when I worry about his occupation.
It has been quiet nippy here---
After a warm sunny entry into the spring season---
But still no rain anywhere about in any quantities that are of any use.
I hope all of my journal friends---
Have been well and chippa and happy---
With life in your little corners of the world.
Until next I clock in take care and just know.
I am thinking about you and wish you all the best.
God Bless

TODAY I WISH FOR YOU!
We will not be remembered by our words,
But by our kind deeds.
Life, is not measured by the breaths we take,
But by the moments that take our breath.
Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles.
A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself. An unexpected phone call from an old friend. Green stoplights all the to your way to work. The fastest checkout at the grocery store. A good sing-along song on the radio. Your keys found right where you left them.
The best way you can love your family
Is by taking care of yourself, So you can help them when the need arises.

"You are the people who are shaping a better world."
One of the secrets of inner peace is the practice of compassion." -- Dalai Lama 1935 --
We can decide to make the world that we live in a little better.
If we chip in with our little bit, the world would be lot better.
It may be apt to take this oath,
Which was quoted by Edward Everett Hale
I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favours.
Careers end.
BUT...
Sisters are there,
No matter how much time and how many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by
Yourself,
The women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
Praying for you, pulling for you,
Intervening on your behalf,
And waiting with open arms at the valley's end.
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...
Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters,
Daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law,
Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins,
And extended family, all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women,
And neither would I.
When we began this adventure called womanhood,
We had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead.
Nor did we know how much we would need each other.
Every day, we need each other still.

DOWN UNDER THE SOUTHERN CROSS.
~~~~~~~~~~~WRITTEN BY DAWN M D. 2007~~~~~~~~~~
A land of rugged beauty, under the Southern Cross
Clear cool waters, ragged cliffs and sweeping beaches along the coast
Beautiful sunsets of red, orange, gold, ebony and mauve
What splendour, giving me promise, refreshing my soul with peace
This is the land down under the Southern Cross.
Waves crash upon the sand and the salty mists spray about
Seashells wash in and out on the gentle lapping waves
Sand squishes between the toes giving a refreshing spark
As the sun sinks, I give thanks for being born in this magic land
This is the land down under the Southern Cross
Snow on the mountain ranges brings a winter chillness to the air
The crisp sharp windblasts bring a shiver up the spine
The wind howls and sings as the rain tumbles down
And pray it rains all night, while asleep snug, in our rugs.
This is the land down under the Southern Cross
The bush is full of noisy chatter and echoes for miles around
Of parrots, jay birds, kookaburras, bellbirds, magpies and crows
A purely magic symphony composed by Mother Nature for all to hear
What a grand spectacle of sight, sound and earthy eucalyptus smells
This is the Land down under the Southern Cross
Miles of dust and desert across the open plains of this vast land
The outback hot, dry & dusty, so hot youd just about roast.
Like a sauna, hot, humid and steamy in the tropics along the coast
North, East, South, West as far as the eye can see
This is the land down under the Southern Cross
The rivers are running dry despite the hint of rain clouds in the sky
The harshness of this climate sees little rainfall in our dams
A land of great extremes of harshness, I would have to confess
Still there is a great beauty to be had and enjoyed
This is the land down under the Southern Cross
Hugging has no unpleasant side effects and is all natural.
There are no batteries to replace,
It's inflation-proof and non-fattening with no monthly payments.
It's non-taxable, non-polluting, and is, of course, fully refundable.
