11/21/2005 - *Headed To Iraq*
Posted in Noteworthy News

The above photo was taken last year at my sons AIT graduation.  He enlisted with the Army straight out of high school as he always said he would do.  We always knew he would go to Iraq at some point.  I have been blessed to have him stateside so far, but that has now changed.  He got his orders.  So this will be a very special Thanksgiving for our family.  My son married his fiance' on November 2, 2005.  She too is headed to Iraq.  She will leave the 28th and my son deploys 2 days later on the 30th.  He has graduated from Cav Scouts and Military Police which is the unit he is now with.  He also received a new rank and was invited to join a very special task force which he accepted.  I will not call the task force by name for his own safety.

I have mixed feelings about his going but have so much pride as well.  He has developed into a fine young man who is and always has been very responsible.  I am so proud of his bravery and the duties he is about to face.  So to him and his new bride I say, "Much love to you both, take good care of each other and come home safe!  I love you".

As a parent, you face many things with your children.  But so far, I think this has got to be the toughest thing I have ever dealt with.  When he called with his orders, I nearly fell apart.  He's a great kid and he knew just what to say.  He said, "Mom, this is why I joined.  Don't worry, don't watch the news, and save me lots of brownies."  I had to laugh at that point.  Godspeed to them both!

My advice to him; just keep the guard up. It's a war zone, it's 24/7. After a couple of months you "get used to it". Don't!

Many prayers to your son and his new wife. How brave and admirable that they both want to serve our great country...be proud. You look proud in the picture. I will add them to my prayers as I lay my head down to sleep this evening. Yes, the bitch prays before she sleeps ;)

Good for both of you. Do save him lots of brownies and make sure they're nice and fresh. Bravery and brownies are kindred words.

He's doing such great things for his country, D. You should be absolutely 110% proud -- not very many young men are prepared to make that sort of sacrifice so early in their lives! Good luck, safe travels for him, and eventually, a safe return.

I also have a son who will be deploying shortly to Afghan. I am ex-military and know how these brave souls feel. Rest assured these men and women are comrades and will see to it that each other makes it home safe. I was taken back by my sons dedication to his fellows, not the Army itself.

12/10/2005 - Thanks to your son

You son gave you some very good advice.....Don't watch the news......
The truth about the war...won't be found anywhere in the MSM...(main sewer media).
There are literally millions of people praying for the safety of our troops, and of course that includes your son, and will welcome them back home with honor and thanks. The war is almost over in Iraq, at least America's part in it. The majority of the Iraqi people want what is almost in their grasp....freedom.....they are battling also, and suffering staggering losses of civilian life. Our nations freedom was won with the gun, not talk. And one more thing about the war there, only a fool would fail to notice we have won every engagement with the enemy, and the terrorists are losing big time. This effort your son is a part of, is honorable and just. Our country has always needed warriors like your son. He stands between us and the terrorists who would saw our heads off while shouting Allah is Great......
No, those willing to put their safety on the line in this battle are the great ones.

Make Money Fast by Transforming $6 into Thousands of Dollars

Here's a legal way to supplement your income by earning thousands of dollars using the standard mail delivery service.
IT WAS PROVEN on Oprah and is COMPLETELY LEGAL!!!

You Can Laugh at Money Worries if You Follow This Simple Plan!
This is an opportunity for people who would like to work at home, and are willing to invest time to get the lifestyle they have been wanting!

READ ON: Read this entire message carefully! (Print it out or download it.)
I found this on a bulletin board, and decided to try it.

Step 1: Get 6 separate $1.00 bills, get 6 pieces of paper and write the following on the paper PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST. Wrap each dollar bill in each note, and include your name and address. Next mail the envelopes to the six people on the list.
Step 2: Now take the #1 name off the list below, and move the other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, 2 becomes 1, etc.) Make sure to add your name as #6 on the list.
Step 3: Now post your article to at least 200 newsgroups and message boards. The more you post the more responses you´ll get, and the more money you´ll make!!
DIRECTIONS TO POST: (1)=open a blank word processor file(MS Word, Notepad, etc.), and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From the edit menu select paste. Past a copy of this letter onto the word processor document so you can add your name to the list. (2)=save your new word processor file as text file. (3)=Log on to search engines like yahoo.com, google.com, altavista.com, excite.com, etc. then you search with the subject "money making message board", "millionaire message board" or "money making forum" etc. (4)=Visit these message boards and post this article as a new message by highlighting the text of the letter and selecting paste from the edit menu, paste it. Fill in the subject, this will be the header that everyone will see as they scroll through the list of the posted groups. Click the post button, submit button, etc. You are done with the first one! Just copy and paste the same letter to the other groups. It will take about 30 seconds for each group.
Remember*** the more newsgroups or message boards you post the more money you will make!!! You have to post a minimum of 200****
That´s it!!!!!! You will be soon be receiving money from all over the world, you may eventually need to rent a P.O. Box due to the large amount of mail you will be receiving. If you want to stay anonymous, you can make up a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it. Just make sure all addresses are correct. When your money begins to come in, give it the first 10% to charity with spirit and share a good fortune!

The List:

#1.Nichlas St. Lawrence, 689A Victory Hwy., West Greenwich RI 02817
#2.Ryan Joseph, 338 N.College St., Newcomerstown OH 43832
