Arethea Wynters

Her mother was born of the noblity, while it was rumured that her father was a pirate, and if one were to use her as any judge, it would seem the rumur were true. She never fit in with the other girls. She did not like to dress up, and lounge about having meanglingless conversations, and she was never one who liked to sit still long. She was ofte getting into trouble coming home covered in mud, from her various little adventures. At first it was thought it was just a phase, but she never grew out of it. As she grew older, the sea began to call to her. It seemed it was in her blood, with her lust for adventure and discovering new things, she took to the seas to explore the wide blue world and see what there was to find.

10/5/2008 - Matilda

Matilda

One day as a young girl she came home from playing in the woods and picking wildflowers for her mother to discover both her parents were dead, murded within the cabin where they lived together. She was then whisked away to a strange new place, where it was discovered she had a rare talent. She was trained as a Fire Mage displaying greater power then had been seen in many years. As she grew older she began to have questions, and eventurally left the order, to seek the answers to the death of her parents, and suspsions that the ones who raised and trained her were involved with the murder.

In many ways she appears to be your typical run of the mill princess. She can appear as sweet, graceful, elegant, demure. She knows how to act as a proper lady. She is not too coy, nor too shy. She enjoys gossiping with the other Ladies, and watching the men at arms in thier trianing. She can readily be found at a ball decked within fine gowns. But there is more to her then meets the eyes. She is just as comftrable in a pair of breeches as she is within the finest silks, and with a bow she can rival just about any man. Her skill upon a horse is hardly surpassed, and she does not shriek at a little bit of dirt or breaking a nail. She can be stubron, and hard-headed.

Born of a high class family, she was placed at a young age within an arranged marraige, though she never cared for her husband, there was little she could do, not wishing to dissapoint her family, and having nowhere to go, knowing little of the outside world. Though her husband was not all that he seemed, most of his wealth he squandered away in gambling, untill he got over his head and could not pay off his debts. In fear of his own life he used his wife to save himself and sold her away to a brothel against her will to work off his debts for him. Within this new life, she had to learn to be strong, and cunning, and a harder edge began to work itself upon her. But she also discovered a certain independence she had not known before she discovered a new kind of power. And entered a world of secerts and conspiracy.

Arabella

Formerly she belonged to a traveling Managerie where she asissted in a knife throwing act. Her acting as the beautiful damsel corageously facing the dnager, as her partner sent the knives flying her way in various feats of daring and risk. Though she is a fericely stubron woman who is not easily moved, and once she sets her mind to something is all but impossible. Quck to temper, and slow to cool, the pair were often heard in nuermous arguments yet for all the many times one had threatend to break from the other neither acted upon it. Though one day, she would find her partner mysteriously dead within his wagon, there was no doubt that fowl play was at hand, but who, or why remained a mystery, after the loss of her partner she left the managerie.

Celesta

She was brought over as a slave, but with his death her former master set her free. Now she manages by running a bording house, though she is also known to have talents of an otherwordls sort. People come to her for help in a varity of matters in which they cannot find help elsewhere. Help in fiding lost or forgotton objects, matters of love, seeking cure for ailements, and other things.

When her clan was raided by a rival clan, caught by surprise during the night. There was nothing she could do but try and flee, they were greatly outnumbered and unpreparied, but one of the enemy warriors had tracked her and captured her, after cliaming her for his own and raping her, she managed to finally escape killing him while he slept. With her own people obliterated and nowhere to go, after her experinces she trusted no strangers, and was determined to look after herself. She leaned by experince upon the hard road, as being alone the only way she could surive was to follow the path of a trader, moving from land to land exchanging goods and food while always keeping a wary eye out.

A royal messenger, she was bread and trained for speed and swiftness. To kill or try and bring harm and injury to one of the messengers could result in instant death, they are protected by the crown and highly vauled. But she is also owend as a peice of proeperty and though she is treated well, she has little of her own freedom. Often she is lonely and wonders about the lives of others. Becasue of what she is , she has no true friends. Seen either as a tool or an object, or feared that associating with her might cause one to get in trouble. It is as if she is inviseable. Other messengers are kept seperate from each other, and not given to associate.

The youngest sister among three princeses, she is at the bottom of the hiarchry, and while her sisters seem to rather lavish in the lifestyle of gowns, balls, flirting with young noblemen, and other such things which would be expected of them, she had always been different from the others. She tends to spend more time to herself, away from the others, and has a tendency to get into trouble, and being rebellious. Secertly she quests to learn the dark arts.

A powerful, and once influential Witch, she was put into excele where she found a hermitiage for herself in a far away and isolated land and became the Ice Queen, angery about what she saw as the unjustice which was done to her, she has become hardend over the years, and does not welcome visistors to her abode. Only those in most desperate need would attempt to seek her help. Others do not often understand the way of witches and see them as cold and even curel at times, but there is always a reason for thier actions, in truth they do not take pleasure in causing injury and harm, but will do what they feel must be done and cannot allow themselves to be moved by sentimentaly.

At a very young age it was discovered that she had a gift. Before she even understood or knew what it meant. A strange group of women had come to her home and convinved her parents to let them take her away for her own good to be trained, less she become a danger to herself with uncontrolled powers. Eventrually they were convinved. She was sent through demanding and rigorurs training and put through a number of tests. She was skilled in the art of illusion, the ablity to make others see things, and feel things which do not truly exisit, a way to turn a person's own mind against them. Only those that can see the illusions for what they truly are can break thier spell.

She is not your average gypsy, she travels with a very strange and myserious band in which there are many whispers and rumurs about. They only come in the shadows of night, and are gone before the sun rises the next day. Nobody knows where they come from or who they are. Though there is often talk of dissaperences they seem to accompany thier arrivails and depature.

A wandering warrior, she now moves from city to city and village to village concealing her true idenity and never staying in the same place for too long. She it easily tempted by gambling, and has a tendence to accumlate debts with which she than cannot pay. Finding herself in a bit of trouble, she trys not to overstay her welcome.

Adema

Once she was a powerful sorceress when the tower had turned against her, her powers were bound and she cast into exile. Never before having to live without her gifts, she did not know what to do, and felt the terrible loss within her. She had no where to go, and nothing but the clothes upon her back. She had been captured by slavers, having no means to defend herself without the use of her power, and was sold into slavery, though she can never get fully use to the idea of what she has become, and tends to be prideful and strong willed even when she has nothing any longer in which to back it up. Her struggles as a slave have helped to keep her mind off the great loss within her as now she has to fight for surviial and the hope of freedom.

She was born with "The Calling" as it was called. The gift of the seer, a gift which in some ways could also be a curse, for with the power which came with it, there was also a terrible burdon that must be held. She is one of the youngest seers to pocesses the gift, and though she knows it is not her place to question fate, she often wonders why she of all people was choosen. She has to struggle against her feelings of being unworty, as she tries to find the confidence and strength she needs. She knows one of the things a seer cannot do is let themselves be intimidated, or else thier gifts may be misused by men of power who wish only to satisfy thier own greed. But it is the duty of a seer to help guide those of power into leading justly and rightly.

Orphaned as a young girl she was taken in by a man that most feared. He was a large imposing figure whom carried his own perosnal aresnal whereever he went. Kown to be cold and distant from others, a man who would not flinch at the thought of killing another. A hardend warrior, and to her, he was about the nicest and most gentle hearted person she ever met. While most would keep a clear path away from him, and tremble at the thought of incuring his wrath, as a child, she would sit upon his knee and giggle as he made funny faces at her. To his family, he was warm and generous. He saw something within her, and at a young age began training her in every weapon which he had in his pocession. She proved to be gifted and a quick learner. When one day she was out in the woods with the boys of the village, hunting and playing games, they saw smoke rise in the air, and heard cries from the village, but by the time they got there it was too late, the village was devestated, and her own family found dead. From that moment she set off to find who was responseable and make them pay.

Bested by none in her skill for dancing and once renound for her beauty, she charmed and enchanted the king, and was taken in as a favored concubine. Living the high life of luxury, no one would dare touch or insult her for fear of thier very life. But soon she would learn the king's passions were a fickle thing and he began to grow bored of her, his interest fadding more and more untill she was all but forgotton. Her world as she knew it came crashing down around her, she was fallen. Forced to a life upon the streets to feed and shelter her, no self-respecting lord would hire one of the king's rejects. Now voulnrable no longer having the portection she once possesd if she was not careful she fell easy prey to the whims of others.

Her mother was a mermaid while her father a mortal man, though the secerets of thier love will remain thier own, Sulin was born she had a very unusual trait, she could live both in land or water. Though shortly after her birth her mother had taken her back into the depths of the waters leaving her father behind, she always knew she was different even as she was raised among her mother's kind knowing nothing of her duel nature utnill one day. Things changed within thier underwater world with the spread of corruption and to protect her her mother sent her up to the surface where she could not be touched, though she knew nothing of life upon land and was much alone trying to find the truth of just who and what she really was.

She is a Dryad a powerful elemental with a spirtial connection to the trees. She lives deep within the wilderness and tends to be both shy and currious of strangers with a touch of a mischveious streak, but if offended in anyway, or if she feel her tree is being put in any danger she can be fericely territorial. Though she loves her forest home, it can be lonely at times as well. There are no male dryad's and dryad's by nature are solitary creatures so she is often alone but for the trees and animals within the woods.
