Karella
The daughter of a wealthy lord but of little courtly influence her beauty and grace had struck the fancy of the King and she was summoned before him. To refuse the King would have been the ruin of her family so she had little choice, she could not deny a certain thrill before the King's presence and did not find him disagreable, but his whims are short lived. So she was cast aside and now ruined she could not aquire a husband. Now a disgrace to her family, she had little recourse but to turn to a brothel. |
