Well Thursday before class my instructor and I really had it out on the phone. He doesn't like me talking bad about that awful Mr. Petrisko. He truly is too nice. He thinks that it's perfectly fine to teach the kid for free mind you, during our class time.
As I could have predicted, he showed no animosity or vindictiveness towards me. Then during our regular class on Thursday, he said to me, "After this class, we'll do 15 minutes of knife and 30 minutes of grappling.) I was stunned. It was clear that there would be only Joe, me and a Jr. black belt, a great kid whose mother makes him go every week and could be the subject of their own, long post. He even said that he would show us something to work on in between classes next week. He taught and taught and taught. I had to leave soon after we split up the mats and moved them. Joe stayed and tried to pay him extra. Class is only $8.00. It's supposed to be an extra $2.00 for the second class but because before he went out on his own, it was $8.00 all night, he won't charge anyone who trained under that system. Really, I don't think it's the $2.00 that keeps people from attending. I always said that if there were too few people to warrant a class, we would pay extra and if we were the only ones, we would pay the private lesson rate because we were all there anyway, we might as well utilize the time. He wouldn't take the money. He said he was sorry I had left because we had some words on the phone and he wanted to apologize. I would have hugged him! Only now I feel super guilty!!
