Barbaro is a magnificent horse who was severely injured in a high profile race. Here are my favorite pictures of  him during his recovery. I'm not a horsewoman, nor do I follow horse racing closely, but got to love Barbaro! I got these pictures from the Penn Website, which is updated about weekly. Other cute things are that if you click on their pictures, they enlarge. Cards that kids made are displayed and they range from gorgeous drawings to horses whose bodies are just large rectangles...precious! There are also flower centerpieces with apples in the arrangment, a large bag of carrots, and a bag of sugar cubes that someone sent him. There is also a picture of him and the governor. If you enlarge the one with the governor's hand outstretched, you can see that he is offering Barbaro a peppermint! My son spotted that one!
