We'll see. Joe is going to go to karate tonight and take the bull by the horns (where is my book entitled, "Take the Bully by the Horns"? I could sure use it now.) He's not going to start a fight (he's incapable of that although sometimes I wish he would), he's just going to try to talk to him. I won't go. I'd get too upset if he insulted me. He didn't seem like the type to do that, but he is. I have some zingers ready in case it ever comes to that. I always come up with the most wonderful come-backs.....about an hour or so after they'd have been of use. It's so upsetting to me probably because I used to be picked on as a kid and I haven't had to deal with that since I became an adult.....until now. Anyway, here is the speech sort of thing that I wrote for my husband to say:
Did we say something or do something to offend you?
We just want to know why you are acting like this. You don't even know us.
You obviously have issues with us and we'd like to get past them.
You don't help us in class, we try to say hi, you don't respond, you acted like you didn't know us at Jason's fight, you completely ignore MySpace invites.
We've been students here for four years. We've got a lot of time and money invested in this program and we'd like it to remain a friendly place where all students feel welcome to train.
