Let's see.. -I called 59 people to remind them of Market Day pick up tomorrow..at the school next to our usual local.
-I contacted two movers, and without as much difficulty as you'd think...coordinated the shipping of a player piano I bought off Ebay from a man in Barrington. It's coming on June 4th! Don't ask why I happened to be in the market for a player piano.
-Went to class. Ouch! I wouldn't think that the muscle just under the forearm crease would be such a target. I'd be wrong.
-Last night we picked up 10 hermit crabs, a 40 gal. tank, stand, and three shopping bags full of equipment. Some people save seals. Some people rehabilitate wildlife. We are into hermit crab rescue/adoption. As if furniture-moving wasn't hard enough, they are having some temp/humidity issues here that they didn't have there. After class I went to three different pet stores; the last one was able to order a glass cover that will come in tomorrow. With the temp/humidity gauge I bought, I was at least able to define and address the problems. Fingers crossed!
-I am still upset about TeamOne martial arts, although not as much as I was this am. Hey, it was only a misunderstanding. I did nothing wrong at all and in this country, if you're innocent, it will eventually be shown. I have confidence.
-I just don't want my efforts to prove that I've done nothing wrong to take much time away from a summer project to which I've already committed myself...
Hey, if it's people who died tragically and violently 40 years ago, I'm there! And once again, I have WGN radio to thank. On Adamski and Conte's, 'Legally Speaking', I heard about a book by the chief prosecutor and a newspaper reporter called, "The Crime of the Century" about the eight student nurses murdered by Richard Speck. I was a toddler living a few blocks away at the time. I grew up knowing about it; we couldn't go on our walks until he was caught, my parents have newspaper clippings, etc. I volunteered at that hospital, loved it, and almost went to that hospital's nursing school. When I was in the high school band, it was learned that one of the clarinet players actually lived in that house. They were hosting a band parents meeting there. No, they had no clue whatsoever. So, online I happen to meet a nurse from NJ who found out that there was never a memorial tribute to these young women. She made a post about four years ago on www.Findagrave.com I was the first person who answered it and said, "Yes! I can't believe there was never a memorial and I would LOVE to help you pursue your idea. Sounds like a great summer project. I'm going to be busy making my case that I was misunderstood at Teamone. I'm prayin' to the Multitasking gods, baby!
-Tomorrow is another day.
