..about Team One Martial Arts is that to tease the boys for poor performance, Shawn calls them 'girls'.   I hate that my gender can be used to insult someone.  Can you imagine how demoralized and degraded girls must feel when they overhear that?  Of course no one would want their daughter subjected to that sort of environment, but who would want their son to grow up and perpetuate the notion that women are inferior, laughable people? Hey, Shawn is the black belt instructor, the role model, so the kids who look up to him probably think  that if he does it, so can they because it must be right.  Positive role models...yeah right!

I spoke to him once about this practice, but he said that he doesn't intend to stop because it's something he really enjoys doing.
