I just saw yet the latest website. So now Jean can call and complain to Straight Blast Gym. That explains the "Combat Karate" meeting held in Oregon some years back. It seems that that convention was as 'real' as the one in Milwaukee, but I digress.  It isn't uncommon for parents to bemoan the fact that their children are slow to advance. Jean would tell such parents that she used to place anonymous phone calls to the Youth of America office and complain that her son wasn't being promoted fairly. She encouraged them to do the same. She last repeated this story to me on the Thurs. before we were kicked out. Her son had been promoted to the highest level over two years ago and Shawn had not been affiliated with YOA for a year, yet she still repeats the story. Everybody is sick of hearing about it already. And he said that I disrespected the organization. She's been taking his money for years while going behind his back and complaining to his boss, bragging about it, and encouraging others to do it too. Making a fool out of him I'd say.  What a dysfunctional organization.
