I have been gushing nonstop to The Office Troll for turning me onto Father Ted. Father Ted was a sitcom about three priests stuck on a remote Irish island. One is a stuporous elderly alcholic who rarely says anyting but "Feke!", "Drink!", and "Girls!". He is positively brilliant. Another is incredibly simple ("These cows are small. The cows out there are far away. Small. Faaarrr Away". And then there is Father Ted, who was put there for paying for a Las Vegas vacation with charity money--which he vehemently denies. What prompted me to look for this show, readily available on Netflix, was this picture of thier housekeeper, Mrs. Doyle, posted on a blog. It did not disappoint. Even my kids love it...what I'll let them watch of it, that is..(probably more than I should have). I actually scream out loud it is so funny. Father Ted fever has taken over our house. Sadly, the show only ran for three seasons because the actor who portrays Father Ted died of a heart attack the day after filming the last show. RIP Father Ted, you sure left a comedic gift.
