Somebody  is actually selling this on Ebay:

100 sun conure feathers. What's worse is that people are actually buying feathers--and not the long kind that can be made into Native American crafts. What could they do with them? And what happened to the original owner? Did somebody actually wait until the various types of feathers fell out and then arrange them by type? Actually my kids do keep Mango's feathers but I am hoping to add them to the composter one day when they come to their senses ( ;   I do love this bird. See the yellow ones in the middle with the downy fluff attached? Keeps Mango warm. That's all of the sickening baby talk that I will mention.
