So, these two girls are impossible. They've been really mean to other kids on the block, mine included, so it's good to see someone lay down the law on them. A girl once asked one to her birthday party and she said, "I've got better things to do". One time they knocked a little 5 yr. old off his bike and he got cut. When I saw the dad and them out later that day, I stopped the car, got out and gave him a piece of my mind. I usually don't do things like that (even though I'd like to), but they had been getting worse and worse and that time they crossed the line. They haven't come back on our side of the street since. They like to ride their scooters across the street and say mean things. One time we happened to be looking out the window with Mango when one went by. She ran home, got their large white poodle and paraded him around in front of the house. Something wrong upstairs, people. They live with their father. The mom, who seems really nice, does not have custody. We figure she can't stand the way the dad has spoiled them; just an opinion. They are in third and sixth grade, yet they wear bikinis when riding their scooters and hang around the boy across the street. He also lets them wear bikinis when they wash their huge mobile home, that looks like a tour bus. Thankfully it isn't parked here all the time; it blocks the sidewalk. The dad must be pretty wealthy because they do like to spend. For a 6th grader to bring an I-phone to school-which was bought before the price dropped. Of course that phone went off in school and she had to sit at the 'bad table' at lunch ; ) He is said to own a beauty salon. He bought an average house and proceded to put a TON of money into the outside; every square inch is elaborately landscaped. They have an inground pool, large stainless barbecue, outdoor fridge, tons of lawn fountains, sculptures, etc. I'll try to get some pictures. I know about some amentities because they tried to sell their house once. They were going to build a new house. My poor daughter was so happy, and then they took it off the market. Of course it didn't sell because it was going for about 200,000 more than other houses in this subdivision. It's odd because every time I went by that house I would say to myself, "I hope he plans on living there forever". I'm no expert, but it would seem crazy to spend mega bucks on amenities that the next owner may not even want. I say if you put money like that into a house, it had better be because you want it. A new kitchen or bathroom would definitely help the resale value, but not all that crap. So ends my real estate tips for today. The one girl would brag when the bus would pass a billboard advertisement for her cousin, a real estate agent. My daughter would say, "So what? That only proves he has a job". Good one, Little T! It's funny that he did not list the property. He probably would have been laughed at by realtors for asking that kind of price in this neighborhood. So now, she announces to somebody on the bus that she's failing all her classes except art. I should feel sorry for them because the dad obviously ruined them.
