...and one call to delete them all. So goes a commercial for a computer service. 900 sounded like a lot until I got 3,400!
Would it be inappropriate to send an e-mail to my boss in which "WTF?" is the subject line?
My company (which I just found out happens to be Dutch*) is converting from paper to computer and it's been an enormous undertaking. I have to be careful because they are very sensitive about divulging company information and I respect that. (No, I'm not being sarcastic.)
Instead of getting boxes of work every week, I am going to be able to access my work through a special computer program. We also have a company e-mail system that is ultrasecure. Well I think something went a bit haywire because Friday I saw several new messages that were really computer codes. Back to the drawing board.
*Disclaimer: I'm not blaming the Dutch office. They own us but they don't work on this product line.

* always add cc: vice.president@whitehouse.gov, so Dick Cheney always knows what you're up to.
* Use fake acronyms, and if they don't understand say RTFM (read the f*** manual), etc.
