Svengoolie, who dropped the "Son of" from the front of his name after many years, is a local institution in the Chicago area. Like his predecessor, he hosts a weekly horror movie and does lots of wacky parady songs and skits at station breaks. He's on You Tube a ton too. Last week's movie was "The Son of  Dracula" which he chose to embelish with a 'Svenditorial' comment which I'd like to share:

"Let's just sum up the shape we're in currently, my fellow Americans. We are under the control of a very powerful man whose father held the same position of power.  A man whose big business ties have contributed to air pollution. A man who constantly proclaims our country to be in the right while he condemns are enemies country to be 'dry and desolate, the soil is red with the blood of 100 races; there is no life left there'. Yes, this powerful man out to bleed this country dry is.....THE SON OF DRACULA.  Who did you think I was talking about? Although there is Cheney..."

He superimposed the quotes with the scene from the movie, but you get the point.  Of course as the Son of Svengoolie, one of his skits was a meeting of the 'Son of' stars of B movies...son of Dracula, son of Frankenstein...there sure were a lot of spinooffs.
