I was just reading the latest MS flight article, http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/#news-flight-missions, and they are asking us, the users/players to give them suggestions as to what would make the game much more enjoyable, (they are asking, but you can't really reply anywhere...).
One thing I noticed over and over, is how often they refer to it as a 'game' and us as 'players', as any flight simulator enthusiast will tell you ... this is not a game !
The 'missions' will be like a level game, you go from A to B and once you completed that you will earn some points or something or you must carry X from A to B during a storm. Once could even imagine, (or wish!), a very, very long mission, where you start as a first officer in some local budget airline and aim to end up captain of British Airways or something, (personally I would love this kind of 'mission' as long as there is no easy way of cheating the system and it does take a fair amount of time to reach the top level).
Maybe it's just me, but I like to fly as an airline pilot, and not much else, so I probably will not be tempted to play the rescue missions or the helicopter challenges.
I wonder what others feel about the missions. What missions would you like to see?
