Such Is My Life

About Me

A place to express my thoughts and just ramble. As an amature web designer and writer, there seems so much to learn. By having a blog, I can organize my thoughts, get feedback, and get rid of the junk that flutters around in my head.

10/10/2005 - My Site is Now Re-Opened!

I have had a web site since May 2005. I closed it temperarily in September to work on the graphics and layout, and to upgrade the html format to 4.1 Transitional. It is now re-opened for visitors to browse through. Just click below.

Very cool site. I love the graphics and templates.

Where is your link to your Journal Home blog in the left-menu (navigational bar)??? (smile)

10/10/2005 - The link to my blog

AntOnaf,

The link is the button that says "Such Is My Life". In the main content of my index page you'll see a paragraph after the description list of my site where I tell visitors that updates to my site will be posted on my weblog and the title of my blog is in bold print so that they know what to look for in the left column.

Do you think I should put "My Weblog" in print right above the button?

10/10/2005 - Hand-In-Hand
Posted by AntOnaf
Glynis,

Since your website and weblog resemble each other I would use the left-hand navigational bar hand-in-hand with both sites. I would remove all links (Menu) from the left-side bar of your weblog and use the same left-hand navigational bar as your website, plus include your Journal Home blog link...so it looks something like the following:

Home

My Weblog

Terms of Use

Linkware Templates

Brushes

Masks

Tubes

Mini-Pattern Tiles

Resources

Personal Galleries

Groups

Contact

Legal

This way visitors can visit your website and blog as if they are just visiting your site. They will never know they are outside your website unless they check the URL, but either way it makes the visitor life easier and gives your site and blog more exposure. Best of luck.
