It Never ceases to amaze me how desperate the Bush Admin. and the neocons have become, literally grasping at straws to sustain the insane war in Iraq and to boost his sagging approval ratings, for example...
Equating the Iraq War to the Cold War On Communism.
Trashing The Democrats For Liying About The War And WMD's.
Using Veteran's Day To Promote His War of Choice Agenda.
Hopefully the American people can see beyond these lame attempts to justify his increasingly isolated position on the Iraq War. There is a position for the democrats to step here, whether they will or not is debatable at this time but former Senator Edwards made a start by apologizing and admitting he made a mistake voting for the war, but more precisely the democrats have to realize that its ok to come out of the closet and truthfully admit to their constituency, the support for the war was a mistake based on erroneous intel reports that were cooked by the Bush Admin. and the republican neocratic nazis.
Its imperative that the democrats lay out a detailed agenda before the 2006 midterm elections, so the american citizens can see a clear alternative to the Bush Admin. policies, right now most polls of the american people show the democrats have no real agenda...this needs to change a.s.a.p. Also important the democrats need to distance themselves from the extremist wing of their party, anti prayer, pro-gay/lesbian marriage, multculturalism, etc. are not winning principles in the general election,Va. Gov. Mark Warner (D) took a big step toward a centrist position mentioning his Catholicism, ethics, morals, etc, right now Sen. Hillary Clinton has a huge lead in most polls but contrary to conventional wisdom my accessment is that the democratic race will definately tighten up and Warner will get lots of attention, perhaps Sen. Joe Biden (D) of Delaware as well i'm sure most democratic pollsters have to realize Hillary is dead in the south, I doubt she can even win Arkansas, its ironic that Hillary has the same problem in the south that her republican counterpart Rudy Gulianni has at this point in time.
In any event the republicans only chance to win in 08' is Sen. John McCain (R) Arizona, widely perceived to be an independent maverick republican, already had huge contributions from the major republican social conservative base last weekend, it just tells me that the republican party machine is backing McCain for a possible 08' run....well, look when Sen. McCain shows up on ESPN , is there any doubt about an 08' run?
