If you want to know why Bush's approval rating is at one degree above freezing 33% take a look at the latest Washington whispers. Today the water cooler discussion: Mr. Bolten is said by a number of Republicans in Washington to feel that Ms. Miers is indecisive, a weak manager and slow in moving vital paperwork through the system. She came to the White House in January 2001 as the staff secretary and then held one of Mr. Bolten's former jobs, deputy chief of staff for policy, before Mr. Bush appointed her as White House counsel in November 2004.
This is too tragic to be funny. Part of me sympathizes for Ms. Miers after all i can stand the slow part in moving papers, its time consumming covering Bush blunders and lies
Is this not the woman a few months ago that was the best qualified person on his staff to be appointed to the supreme court? Now she is "indecisive"..."weak"..."slow" in moving paerwork. Hey Tony Snow....Tony Blankly, Mary Matalin listen up you may want to think twice before taking a job in the Bush Admin.
Lets sum up the last few months in Bush World, leaks of Bush wanting to go nuclear in Iran, cheney doing his Yosemite Sam thing while hunting with a friend, Bush arrogantly saying he has a right to violate the FISA courts, Veep Cheney falling asleep at a high level meeting with Mr Hu, and embarassing protest at the meeting, a wasted meeting where nothing was accomplished with our huge deficit. How anyone can support this administration is beyond my ablility to rationalize.
