The insolent Pretender-in-Chief is whining again. Quick " somebody put mommy Bush's sugar-filled silver spoon in his mouth before he has a tantrum.

Yes, poor George says the New York Times revelation that the CIA and Treasury Department have been probing the financial records of millions of Americans "makes it harder to win this ‘war on terror.'" The Times was also undermining the "war" effort, of course, when they revealed Bush's illegal, warrantless wiretapping program six months ago.

Just wondering, Mr. Bush " Exactly how many terrorists and/or terrorist plots have these "terrorist surveillance" programs stopped since their inception in the wake of 9/11? Oh wait, I know " You can't reveal that because it's a matter of "national security," right? But doesn't simple logic tell us that terrorists who know that the whole world knows their plots have failed are truly defeated?

Of course, I suppose you could be trying to hide the fact that your programs have been a dismal failure and you're just trying to make the New York Times your scapegoat.

Bu if it's all the Times' fault, how do you explain your pathetic terrorism fighting record for the four-plus years (since 9/11) preceding the December 2005 Times revelation of your illegal wiretapping program, and the nearly five years (since 9/11) preceding the new revelation of your highly suspect probe of millions of financial records?

Aren't you the guy who got the PDB in July of 2001 that screamed, "bin Laden Determined to Attack Within the U.S." and then promptly went on vacation (or stayed on vacation " spare me the pathetic semantic arguments)?

Aren't you the guy who, in the immediate days after 9/11, said you wanted Osama "dead or alive" and then six months later said you were not concerned about him, and who ignorantly denied this proven fact in the 2004 presidential debates?

Aren't you the guy who, as the acting Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, was ultimately responsible for outsourcing the effort to capture a cornered bin Laden to local Afghanistan warlords, who allowed him (either ineptly or intentionally) to escape?

Aren't you the guy who launched an illegal invasion of a country that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 (a fact that you publicly admitted on September 17th, 2003), and presented no threat whatsoever to the United States?

Aren't you the guy whose illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq has created the kind of terror that people like Osama bin Laden dream about, and given rise to an entirely new generation of people who feel divinely justified in their hatred of and desire to kill Americans?

As I mentioned earlier, it could be that your terrorist surveillance programs have been a complete failure and you're just trying to blame the NYT, but it's much more likely that they have nothing to do with terrorist surveillance and everything to do with the illegal compilation of massive amounts of Americans' private information for your own fascist political use.

The New York Times may be far from perfection, but they are still infinitely closer than you, Mr. "President." Your track record since the day your were appointed by your friends on the Supreme Court provides not a single reason for a single American to place any value or trust in anything you say. The ones who claim to support you are either equally as corrupt, lying to support a misguided belief in party over country, or simply blinded by the sheer inability to accept and exercise their sacred responsibility as American citizens to question authority and demand accountability.

The vast majority of America has awakened to your fraud, Mr. Bush, but there is still one way for you to score some positive points:
