Well it seems like we will have to batten down the hatches as a looming 1012 millabar tropical storm threatens our area so far its just off the northeastern most coast of Cuba, now that the CDO is over the warm open waters once again it may possibly regain its hurricane status once more.

At the time of this posting atmospheric conditions are prime for this storm to re-strengthen the waters are well above the mean aveage of 81.4 degrees for prime regeneration no upper level low pressure or cutoff lows in its projected path to inhibit it from stengthening a building high pressure ridge to its north and the gulfstream undercurrent that can provide a huge source of heat for it to develop a forward speed of 12 nautical kt per hour the strongest winds right now are in an ill-defined northeast quadrant at 40 kts. Rapid intensification is expected. Movement is to be north and west at 325 degrees curently located at 20.3N 75.7W Dynamic track forcasting models are now all in agreement and closely aligned in future movement. Just how strong this system will get at this time remains uncertain.

Generally global models indicate that a mid tropospheric high pressure system will shift south and eastward as a elongated trough moves in from the midwest US which will set Tropical Storm Ernesto on a course of 325 degrees north and west and toward the southeastern United States.
