It seems to me that all this crying over the fact that not enough americans voting is insincere at best and conspiracy at most. There are all sorts of campagins like "Get Out The Vote" etc and yes it still fails to improve american voter turnout which ranges from 25% - 35%.

Well lets look at the 2000 election between Al Gore and George Bush, with the votes of floridians along with chads hanging in the balance the official count was finally in and naturally the RNC and DNC all had their lawyers involved and eventually the case went to the Florida State Supreme Court where the court ruled in favor of then Vice President Al Gore, and naturally the American citizens went to bed with the knowledge that Al Gore was our next president as he had won both the electorial college vote as well as the popular vote, beautiful ending right? Well in a perfect world without neocon troll like gremlins yes, but...  [like in the movie "Gremlins"] silly little mischief makers, the neocons could not leave well enough alone, no no, one of the troll like creatures, we'll call him Antonin Scalia, reared his ugly head along with other neocon trolls on the Federal Supreme Court and true to form had to get involved, which they did to such an astounding degree that they violated their own mantra of "not getting involved in State's Rights Issues". The Florida State Supreme Court had made its decision as a sovereign State. That should have been the end according to neocon legal ideology. No, sadly is was not.

The neocons on the on the United States Supreme Court overuled the Florida State Supreme Court and in the process they violated two principles, the most important being that they arrogantly circumvented the will of the american people because Al Gore had won the popular vote, that of course meant absolutely nothing to the neocon trolls, and secondly they violated their own neocon principles of not interfering in State's Rights issues.

Now you have to wonder as the average John or Jane Doe in America why bother to vote if my vote is simply going to count for absolutely nothing and the the neocon Justices on the United States Supreme Court have absoutely no respect for my vote as an american citizen and simply base their decision to advance their own political ideology and agenda.

With total abuse of our constitution like that how will you ever increase voter participation in America if American citizens feel that their vote is totally void of any value?
