From my own personal accessment I disagree with their decision to rush the room, now I suppose there are are pro's and con's on both sides, but I am well aware of the gung ho macho mentality that these cops have, especially in pressure situations, whats not clear is the details on the hostage negotioation team.

As my mom and I were discussing this on the phone I had to correct her on a comment she made alluding that she thought that the hostage negociation team was to distract him so they could rush the room...on the contrary, I told mom its paramount tatic is to convince the person holding the hostages to relase them at thye very least, and at most to give himself up, that is the primary purpose of a hostage negotiation team.

In this case its unclear at this time why the sherrif's dept. gave up so easily. I hope there will be a thorough independent investigation on why s.w.a.t. rushed in resulting in the death of innocent Emily Keyes. I know full well the police can and often do in many cases act iresponsibly, I dont know if thats the case here I hope and pray it wasn't
