His dislikes the military. He was the butt of jokes when he was in the Air National Guard. He thinks that military people are stupid. Only stupid lazy people are poor he has said in the past. Most soldiers are just about scraping by. They must be stupid and lazy in Bushs mind. Could you imagine him and Laura inviting a war vet to the White House for a dinner? Not on your life. This man wouldnt be seen dead with an enlisted man. Listen to how he calls General Franks "Tommy". Thats disgusting. Do you think that a four star General wants to be referred to as "Tommy" by a stupid Texan that doesnt know didley squat about the military? This is the guy that picked Don Rumsfeld to be the Secretary of Defense. Rumsfeld, the guy that wants a lighter, faster military force, so that wars can just drag on and on, while ignorant, illiterate plumbers and military novice's fight the most modern, and well equipped Army to a standstill in the Iraqi desert because he wont commit the troops needed to win the war. He didn't even make sure that they had the right kind of body armor before he sent them to war. This is the guy who made sure that only junior enlisted people were charged for the tortue and brutality in Abu Graib. Where were all the supervisors when this e-4 was leading these men around on dog leash's? The only commander they had was a female Brigadier General? Where is the military oversight? Where was JAG on this one. I tell you, he hates the military.

The guys in Halliburton that drive empty tanker trucks back and forth Iraq make over $100,000.00 tax free. How much does a soldier make? What about their families? Think that a young wife wants her man gone away to the desert every other year? Do you believe that they wanted Saddam out of Iraq? Do you believe that they think they are fighting for democracy or oil? Soldiers aren't stupid. They know what the deal is. Bush just thinks they don't. I'll bet you that when e goes to Iraq for Thanksgiving or Christmas, that there isn't a soldier in that mess hall with a loaded gun, anywhere near the President.

Think about it. Bush despises the military. He only listens to "those Commanders on the ground" he is fond of saying. He should change that saying to "I only listen to those Commanders that I have under my thumb". I spent almost 21 years in the Army. Watching him do the things hes done to our military in the last 3 ½ years convinces me that he despises the military. I believe that hes trying to kill off as many as he can.
