Every year, in late October or early November, just before
most U.S. state and national elections take place, many of our Sister Witches and NeoPagans
celebrate the Feast
of Samhain, honoring our ancestors.
At this most sacred of
times, let us remember all our ancestors who fought and died
for religious freedom especially our Sister Witches that died in one of the most horriffic ritual genocides our country has even known and the Christian bigots were allowed to get away with [Salem Witch Trials] We must be politically active to insure that this never happens again!Lets invoke The Goddess to shield every
polling place in our country from Christian bigots and
political rogues. There
are millions of Paleopagans, Mesopagans,
and Neopagans living in the U.S.A., as well as millions more
New Agers, metaphysicians and religious liberals.
Let us not forget that the real evil is Bush allowing innocent people both our American soldiers and Iraqi civilians to die and be maimed and crippled everyday and his absolute arrogance to end this insane war and violate the will of his own American people who are opposed to this war! All I can say is I'm one pissed off Witch I only hope my Sisters are as well
Every year,
let every group of us bless our local polling places, and place
divine protection around those candidates in our areas who have
been targeted for destruction by these evil obsessed, evil panickers and cynical manipulators. Let us allow the people of
America to make their own choices, in the privacy of the voting
booth, without the influences of malevolent spells from those
who wrap themselves in the garb of Christian (or any other kind
of) holiness. For that matter, let us become polling place
attendents and politically active watchdogs to stop rigged
voting machines, mysteriously missing translators in minority
language neighborhoods, misplaced paper ballots, illegally disenfranchised
voters, or other secular schemes (all of which were used in 2000,
2002, 2004, and 2006).
These are scary times - the witch hunt is still happening but under a different guise. Women who decide not to have children are witches. Abortion rights activists are witches. And anyone who's been remotely connected with child pornography, even if they are innocent, even if they haven't done anything. This makes me very angry - the world is currently obsessed with paedophilia to an incommensurate level. Should someone who just looks at these images be condemned, driven away from their house, threatened and hunted down, just for their thoughts rather than their actions? By saying this I'm viewing one of the most socially unacceptable opinions of this time, but I can't help thinking that this modern inquisition is going too far.
I have suspeneded my blog site I may come back to it at a later date I am sorry that my blogs and site were not appreciated and lacked participation It just seems like my JH Colleagues have little interest in this format I have to devote my time and energy where it is appreciated It seems thats not the case here.
