It was a great feeling to finally see a Democratic Senator on the Seanate floor standing

up to President Bush. Senator Chris Dodd(D) did just that yesterday.

 

Finally a Democrat displaying some courage in standing up to the Bush administration in reference to the Telecom bill.

 

Senator Chris Dodd won a temporary victory today after his threats of a filibuster

forced Democratic leadership to push back consideration of a measure that would grant immunity to telecom companies that were complicit in warrantless surveillance.

 

It's too bad that Sen Reid doesnt have the same courage that Senator Dodd displayed. I

as a democrat and liberal can only hope that this is catching and that the Dem's lose

this fear of the Republican neocon party and its incessenant fear mongering of anyone

that disagrees with their extremist right wing neocon policies.
