Come walk with me ...........

This is my walking buddy, always there when I need a reminder to get out and go for it......

My Mum bought me a old book, you know the ones, a living book or something? opened and looking frayed.

It says " Dont walk in front of me, I may not follow.

Dont walk behind me, I may not lead.

Just walk beside me and be my friend.

My Mum was the best friend I had, and I miss her so much since she passed away in 2003. I know she is with me every step of this journey,

here's to you Mum, rest easy.

What a cool walking man. Your Mum would be very proud of what you are doing now. It is nice to keep remembering the support and love our parents give / gave us.

Have a great night. :)

Lovely quote

What a lovely quote! I know exactly how you feel about your Mum. Mine's gone too and I sure miss her.

Love your walking friend!

Beautiful Words

Hi Margaret

Found your journal through the other Margaret! I'm sure you won't regret starting this journey, or starting a blog - it took me months of looking at other people's blogs before I felt ready to start my own, and now that I have, I wish I'd done it ages ago. There are some lovely, kind, supportive people out there. It's so inspiring. And, of course, there's nothing like a bit of public accountability to spur you on!

I liked this post very much - it reminded me of a very dear friend who passed away when I was 13. 11 years later, I still think about her and miss her. We're lucky to have special people in our lives, and have happy memories of them. And it's nice to think that they're still walking beside us.

I'll be back to see how you're doing!

Have a great day :) Philippa
