Journal Home Search Engine Friendly URL's

Posted in Unspecified

Over the weekend I have updated Journal Home backend and provided Search Engine Friendly URL's.  This is a huge issue when considering blog advertising.  Most of you have probably already noticed the change.  Your blog URL (or link) use to be a dynamic URL (e.g. http://www.journalhome.com/?u=username), but now they have been successfully transformed to (http://www.journalhome.com/username).  This minor (in look) change is a major change for search engines.  Most major and smaller search engines do not index dynamic URL's...and if they do then it is not properly indexed or only partial is indexed.  It is harder for search engine spiders to index content after the question mark (?).  This change has made it possible for virtually all search engines to index and crawl your blog without major problems.  For more about dynamic links and URL Rewriting click here.
