New Editor for your blog.

Posted in News

I was tired of the old editor and many people have been complaining about it so I decided to get a better one.

I got the editor from the fine people at http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/ and I am quite impressed with it so far.

I should be able to accept most languages and you can paste directly from MS Word, (in the past that would cause a bunch of problems).

Let me know if it works ok.

I Know that it is a bit slow to load for some users, I am looking into that as we speak.

Meh.

It doesn't bring up those annoying question marks anymore, so it works better.

When I tested it by editing a post it reformated it kind of weird and I had to do my spacing all over again.

It also takes a bit to load, several seconds and I'm on a high speed connection.

But those are minor bothersomes. Thanks for updating. Keep up the good work.

G'day

I just get a blank page so can't write anything as yet. I can only access messages written entries and members. when I try to go to add entry it goes haywire either blank or a whole lot of sqiggly lines I can't read. It loaded once and dropped out just as I was thinking of how to use it. I will come back this afternoon and have another go and sqeal louder then if it is not working and peeing me off. Thanks :-) Dawnie.

New Editor

When I click on New Entry no text box comes up for me to acutally input anything. I tried clicking on the link that says new document and nothing happens.

G'day to you, I'm back and about to sqeal!

How are you? This new what ever is not working...full stop. It's now 3:00PM in afternoon and it still comes up with a blank page that says down in the left corner Done. If I press back and try again it goes hatwire and produces a whole lot of smudged lines straking down the page. "NOT HAPPY JAN." Why update a system that worked fine with one that is useless and doesn't bloody work? I don't understand that logic at all. Thanks for the opportunity to sqeal.

Love and a sad :-( from Dawnie.

I'M NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!

This new system is not working. Is it your way of saying get lost. If so there are other ways you could say get lost.

I haven't been able to publish one word all day yesterday or early this morning. Is there any help available to learn how it bloody works or what? I would really appreciate some help...I mean real help not just a couple of words that don't tell me how it works. I look forward to some constructive advice very soon please. If the system takes 15 minutes to load and then I can't work out how to use it, I would like you to tell me how you can say the system is better. I have a fast broadband connection but 15 minutes to load the new fandangled unworkable mumbo jumbo is enough to make one want to pull up stumps and say to hell with it. I hope to hear from you with some input on how to use your new system by the time I arise from bed in a few hours. From one unhappy journalhome user.

custom characters

I'm really happy with the new editor, but I did encounter a problem: the custom characters don't show up in my entries. I've posted a list of the books I've read, and there are some German and French authors on there. So far I hadn't bothered with dots, etc, on standard characters, but now that I've tried to work with custom characters I'm in a mild state of despair.
