Statically speaking

Posted in News

I often wondered who had the most popular weblog, or what entry was read the most.

So I added a bit of statistic to the whole site.

I plan on releasing some kind of Admin page for all users to view how busy their blogs are.
And maybe add a counter that you could add to the template.

Heather suggested that I also add a few other things, I am working on some of them, I might release them at some stage.

But in the past I have been accused of releasing things a bit too quickly so I will wait for a while to make sure that nothing is breaking, in the meantime all the blogs are been logged and you can have a small peak at what data is been gathered.

http://www.journalhome.com/statistics.php. The logs has only been running since the 31/07 so there isn't much data I am afraid.

Dear Journal Home

Perhaps you can help me understand the statistics, for example how can you be the leader on top ten weblog without being on top ten page views? its very confusing perhaps something a little easier to understand or maybe a little tutorial in laymen's terms to help blogers to understand the statistics?

Thank You

Sincerely,

Heather
