Using your email to post new messages, the power of Moblog.

A little know feature that has been around for some time isthe ability to send an email to your blog and have it posted, it called moblog.
The neat thing about it is that you can use your favorite email program, (andeditor), to create your post and it will appear in your blog.

But first you need a little bit of preparation for that to happen...

1. Login to your blog.
2. Under 'My Blogs' Select the blog you are going to edit, most of you only have one blog.
3. Under the 'Entries' menu you should see something like 'View Entries', 'Add Entries' and so on. Select the 'Mobile' menu.

There you will see a secretemail address, which is the email address that you will use to 'email' yourmessage directly to your blog.
That's right, you will use that email address to 'send' a new entry toyour weblog.

But, to make sure that the system is secure you need to tell journalhome where the emails are likelyto come from.
That way, even if someone manages to access your secret email address, theywill still need to use your account to send an email.

So under 'Mobile Email Address' simply enter a list of addresses thatwill be allowed to 'send' an email to your weblog. This can be your homeaddress, your work address, anything really.

And that's all you need to do.

So now, just write an email to your weblog and, (every 30 minutes or so),the system will pickup the email and post it for you onto your blog.

Please remember that this is not available to all! BUT, send me a message and Iwill enable this option for you, it is only disabled to prevent abuses byspammers.
