The old categories are now also cached, that should drop the number of queries by 80% for this particular section of the blogs.

I have now, (without the categories), indexed over 20000 blogs and entries so that should drop the number of queries to the database by at least 50%, this is a huge number for us and the impact on the server should be seen over time. Hopefully we will not have as many down time as before.
But remember that this option is only available for the old blogs, (the ones that have not been updated for a couple of months).

And I will not cache any of the new blogs for quite some time just to make sure that everything is running smoothly again.
But my own blog, (this one), is cached so I will be able to iron out the problems that might be caused by caching of pages.
