Auto Ping settings

Posted in Unspecified

I have also added the option to send pings to all the major blog systems.
This is inline with most blogging systems, (and when in Rome...)

And as with most things around here you can remove this option.
Simply go to your weblog and choose Entries->Send Pings.
I created a 'General settings Option' but as you can see, there is only one option at the moment .

Let me know if you have any problems.

Dear Florent

I love the changes although I'm at a loss to understand the need for email, in any event overall I love the changes.
Only one problem I noticed, is that when I tried to correct and make changes to a prior blog it would not go through for some reason and I was wondering if others had the same problem and also if you were aware of it.
Thank you Florent.
Sincerely,
Your Friend Always,
Heather

Esthetics

Just one complaint, if you can call it such: on the page /manager/index.php, I think it would look better if the link to the entries page were still down below instead of up top... I will get used to it if you keep it that way.

Anyways, thanks for improving the pings, and adding tags. I'll get to tagging as soon as I feel like it.

Heather,

I chose to make the email compulsory for my blog :-).
But you can change your own settings to have simple comment styles, (at the bottom of settings on your weblog control panel).

I am also not sure I understand the problem with the template.
It is working fine for me.
I'll have another quick look and get back to you.

Control panel changes

DUTCHBOY, I understand what you are saying, but I am still moving things around making space for other stuff, (messages and so on).

Would you rather have the 'news' on top? I moved them because they are not really news, but rather some updates I have from time to time.

I wanted to put things like messages, friends and so on just above the blog(s).

Maybe I should make the whole thing a bit more flexible, ( a collapsible menu maybe)

editing entries

Hi, I just tried to edit some entries to add tags, etc., but all I get after I click on save changes is a white screen, and nothing further happens.

Editiing templates and messages

@Heather, I don't seem to have any problems editing the blog template.
Are you still having problems?

@DUTCHBOY, Sorry about that, it should all be fine now, (I hope).
