New Wall Feature [Beta]Hi,I added a new wall feature. What is a wall? This is like a scratch patch where friends, members, visitors can add a few words about you. You can change your settings in your profile->My Wall and everything should be fine from then on. What changes do I need to make to my template? <%WallPageURL%> is the link to your wall page. I will change all the default templates but those of you who can edit your templates you can do so already. What next? I still want to add one more feature, 'reputation', where users will get to vote, (thumbs up or thumbs down), for each others. And those with lots of reputation will have special 'rights'. Not sure what those rights are yet, but I will think of something, (maye the right to edit your own template for example, so I don't need to do it manually all the time). And finally, I also want to complete the friends option so that you need to ask someone to become your friend. Anything else you think I should do...? FaceBook? I was asked to imcorporate facebook it is posible to do but I am not sure if there is a great demand for it. The problem is the person who asked me happens to be my wife, I guess I will have to do it even if no one uses it. Maybe somethine where you can include your facebook friends? View your wall? or even simply link to your facebook profile. And... I also changed the forum to upgrade it to version 3 of phpbb, just because it looks nice, I know that the forum is not really used that much, but I will use it to house the FAQ that I have been wanting to re-write for a long time. I realize that the tags are been abused by some spammers, but as the list of tags grow their tags should disapear further down the line. It is only really noticiable because there are so few tags at the moment.
